Borders Forest Trust need you! They have their inaugural tree planting day at Talla tomorrow (Saturday 30th April). Here’s the information: We are meeting at Talla Linnfoot at 10.30am, walking up to the bothy where we will gather, collect a few trees each and then plant them nearby in suitable spots under the supervision of two of our expert trustees and then gather to eat our lunch with tea and coffee provided. There are two events coming up on Sunday 14th June: The Moffat Road Run for tractors is starting from The Crook Inn at 10am, heading towards Fruid and round the Jubilee Road in the morning and over Patervan Bridge through the hills to Stanhope in the afternoon. The cyclists are coming! The Tour O The Borders will be coming south down the A701 and turning left up the Talla road on SUNDAY 9th AUGUST. The organisers are looking for 4 VOLUNTEERS to run a feeding station at the village hall. Volunteers would need to arrive before 6.30am and would be required until 11.30am.
