Is your bike sitting gathering dust in the shed, a flat tyre that you’ve always meant to fix, gears that don’t work smoothly? All things that stop you getting out on your bike enjoying the great cycling that there is around the valley. Well this might just be for you.

Tweedsmuir Village Hall
27th February 2016

Select your session 9:00 am – 12:30 pm or 1:00 – 4.30pm
Including a short break in each session for refreshment and snack.

Who is it for? Anyone wanting to learn basic bike maintenance. You’ll be shown how to look after your bike including tyres, cables, brakes and gears by an experienced bike mechanic. Priority will be given to people in the Tweedsmuir area, but contact Lesley if you’re outside the area but interested.

A small selection of equipment will be available to purchase at cost eg inner tubes and cables.

Bring your/a bike along (one per participant only please) to get it checked out and ready for riding when the weather improves. This class won’t guarantee your bike is fixed, particularly if the issues are more complicated, but you will receive advice on how to remedy these.

Please contact Lesley Kirkwood if you are interested in attending (leskirkwood@btinternet.com)

These courses are funded by a microgrant from SSE Clyde Borders Community Fund.
