Following last year’s pilot scheme, Upper Tweed Community Council is proposing to apply for funding for another series of bus trips in 2016. Their plan is to run three trips from Broughton/Tweedsmuir to Edinburgh in June, August (Fringe) and December (Christmas shopping) and one to Glasgow in July.

These trips would not be free, but would cost £5 return.

These planned days seem to be popular with some folks which suggests that there is interest/need in having this. The longer term/more significant issue is that we don’t have any public transport in this area. Even if there was transport that lets us link into the more established routes.
