The People’s Emergency Briefing is a 50-minute film bringing together highlights from a landmark briefing held in Westminster last November, where the UK’s leading experts in climate science, health, food security, economics, national security and nature addressed an audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and media. Organised locally by Biggar Area Climate Care, this screening is part of a fast-growing nationwide movement — over 2,500 community showings so far — calling on the UK government to hold televised emergency briefings on the climate and nature crisis, as it did during Covid. The event is free, open to all, and not about blame or guilt, but about galvanising action for our children’s future.
