Borders Forest Trust have recently purchased the Talla & Gameshope Estate, and gave a presentation at January’s Community Council meeting. They are keen to work with the local community to develop their plan for the area. Their aim is to restore the natural habitat, and the site borders their Carifran Wildwood project and the National Trust for Scotland’s Grey Mare’s Tail, giving them scope to develop a large area.
The Community Council are working with Borders Forest Trust to set up a site visit for anyone interested in discussing the plans and putting forward ideas – more details soon!
