Stories of Tweedsmuir - King Kenneth III

Some Stories

Lesley Mason, our Community Development Officer, will share some of the weird and wonderful stories that have their roots in Tweedsmuir.

She will tell you about the tragic story of Bonnie Bertha, explain how Jack killed the giant – and let you hear a version of the poem Jeanie o’ the Crook, which has not been sung at social gatherings for nearly 100 years…

Our New Digital Archive

Andrew Mason will then demonstrate the new database system that will allow all our stories to be preserved and shared with everyone in the future.

Make a note in your diary to join the presentation for a fascinating insight into our local history!
