A701 Road Closures for Resurfacing

Dear residents, if you have emailed Paul with a specific access request, he has forwarded this on to SBC and has subsequently received the following email back. It seems access for residents and any deliveries should be okay: Morning Paul, Unfortunately we have to implement a road closure to protect our workforce. Dear resident, please find a notification from SBC of road closures along the A701 for resurfacing next month: Scottish Borders Council Order Template Road Closure Plan Below is also an email exchange between the TCC and SBC in which we raised a number of issues.  If you have any appointments/deliveries/NHS Support, as mentioned in the email, please let Paul Greaves know. The road will be closed in 2 phases, firstly from Glenveg to Tweedsmuir from Monday 13th May for 3-4 days.

Tweedsmuir Super Fast Broadband

Just a quick update on the superfast broadband scheme. As you know, we were successful in our application to SSE for £69,000 towards the project, and we have now applied to Glenkerie windfarm fund for the same amount. The committee recently undertook a question-and-answer session with Foundation Scotland, the administrators of the scheme on Glenkerie’s behalf.
